With the end of the month soon approaching, I thought it would be the perfect time to share what I have been savouring though the month of January. They are a random few, but definitely the items I’ve been reaching for all month long. I found my list could have been quite long, but I decided to just share the main items I’ve really been enjoying. Let me know what your favourites are this month, in the comments below!
Pure Leaf Green Tea With Citrus
I drink a lot of green tea, almost 2 or 3 cups a day, I know it might not seem like that much, but to me it is. Recently my Mum went to the States and grabbed this green tea with citrus. At first I was hesitant to try, because I really just love plain ol green tea, but after giving it a shot, it’s all I’ve been drinking. The flavour is mild and refreshing, with just the right hint of citrus. I love the plastic container that it comes in too. Most teas I buy come in the cardboard boxes, that I usually unpack to keep fresh.
A Monster Calls
On my Instagram a couple of weeks ago, I posted that I was curled up reading A Monster Calls (also to stick with my goal of a book a month). This book was amazing, a beautiful light read, that will have you feeling extremely emotional. The chapters are short, making you never want to put it down. Without giving too much away, this book is about a boy named Conor, whose mother is sick. One night a monster comes to him, telling him he’s going to enlighten him with 3 stories. Thats all I’ll say about that because I strongly urge you to give this book a read, you won’t be disappointed!
For Christmas I received this super soft bathrobe, which was perfect, because I was in need of one. I love how cozy I feel every time I put it on. I wanted one particularly for when I’m out of the shower and doing my makeup / hair, & don’t want to get dressed just yet (which is probably why most people want robes). However, I find myself wearing more often than just after a shower, but who’s definitely not complaining – Wouldn’t you want to be cozy 24/7?
Like the robe, I also received these bath bombs as a Christmas present. I just love anything from Lush, and often find myself spending hours in the store, browsing, sniffing and trying all sorts of lushhh products. I love the quality of lush bath bombs, they are so rich is texture compared to other ones I’ve tried, and I find they always leave your skin feeling so smooth. These particular ones are so fun in colour, and a few have surprises inside. This mix is made up of: Avobath, Big Blue, Dragon’s Egg, FIzzbanger, and Yoga Bomb.
I found these little notepads and planners at my local Winners, for 3 dollars each! One of my other goals this year was to make lists, and write things down. I find these are perfect to keep on your desk, to jot down quick notes, or lists. The weekly planner is perfect to plan each week, because lets face it life can get pretty hectic. I know you can find some cute ones at Chapters as well, make sure you check their sale area.
I’ve been loving having a smoothie most mornings, or as a snack midday. They pack so many delicious flavours, tastes great, and is a much better option than something unhealthy. Plus making one takes all of 5 minutes! The one I’ve been loving the mosts is a berry smoothie – I usually make mine with, orange juice, spinach, one banana, fresh blueberries, and a frozen berry mix (raspberries, strawberries, blackberries). You can top with shredded coconut, hemp hearts, chai seeds, or all of the above!
