Christmas holidays are all about being with family and friends to celebrate and be merry! Food and drinks are always important around this time of the year, meaning your kitchen and bar cart will see a lot of action! This year I decided to style my bar cart the same way I did the rest of my condo, with mixed metals and whites (post to come soon). I picked up this gem of a cart off someone selling on Kijiji (I always find the best things on there) for literally 25 dollars. Score!

I started by clearing everything I wasn’t using, to keep it simple yet appropriate for the holidays. Everything I used was either from last year, or changed up to make something new. For the top: I used the two glass bottles (from IKEA) I always have sitting on the top, as little vases for some Christmas leaves and berries. The berries were actually red, however that isn’t part of my theme, so a quick coat of spray paint was easy to transform it. The top tray of this cart is a mirror, so I placed this giant clear snowflake to add some texture and dimension. (However, not practical when making drinks, but cute nonetheless). Bar cart essentials are obviously a must like, straws, an ice bucket, glasses and this pretty rose gold bottle – pretty basic. I felt the top needed a little more, like a sign or a picture. I had seen so many pretty little quote bar signs, but I wanted to stay away from buying new things. So, I simply wrapped a piece board with pretty wrapping paper -black, silver and gold! *If I had my Moscow mule copper mugs in time, I would have featured those on the top too! For the bottom: I placed a piece of fake snow down to lighten up the base (as it’s a wood finish). *Of course this little silver deer need to be standing in the snow. I removed any alcohol bottles I didn’t need and took some out of their boxes to create a little cluster on the side (and on the rack). Lastly, I added led lights in my glass ice bucket, to create a nice soft glow and give the space the right amount of light. I had a lot of fun styling my cart this year – it’s such a small space but makes a ton of a difference when it isn’t cluttered. I hope that you can gain some inspiration from my little cart when styling your own!

Stay tuned for the next blog, I’ll show you a few Christmas cocktails you will definitely want to try this season!

Awesome! I’m going to steal your idea of spray painting the berries.

Good! You can even use white spray paint instead of “snow spray” for garlands or wreaths!
